Ken Gibson

Dear Parent or Student,

Education is foundational to personal success.   But education is not fun if learning is hard.

I understand. With five children of my own (and ten grand kids), I personally feel for those who struggle with reading and learning because I faced the same challenge.

In my elementary school years I would have been labeled dyslexic. Back then, little was known  about the specifics of learning and reading struggles. I am sure it was hard on my parents, but I was basically on my own to try to overcome the difficulties.

Historically parents had no quick, foolproof way to tell what was causing the learning and reading struggles of their child.  Either the problem was ignored, accepted or accommodated.  Or costly solutions were attempted with uncertain outcomes.

Cognitive scientists now better understand the mental skills that are behind successful learning and reading.  However, testing has been expensive and hard to obtain.

I dedicated my entire career to research and development of solutions to learning challenges.  I used many different tests in my clinics.  No one test gave me all the information I felt I needed to really understand what was going on with each student.  So I used several different tests.  I also felt traditional tests did not quite test certain skills the way I thought they should.  So I developed my own battery and used it successfully in hundreds of clinics for thousands of students as part of my clinical training program called PACE (processing and cognitive enhancement).

In 2008 I co-founded a company called BrainSkills to develop an affordable online version of my cognitive skill assessment and clinical training program to serve more families.

Now, with one affordable test, you can find out the underlying cause of most learning challenges, spot areas that might cause future learning problems and do it all in about 40 minutes from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Professional cognitive  skills testing with my online assessment is the most affordable and  easiest way to identify the causes of learning problems. The testing is fun and will give you the specific answers you need to help your child  in ways you never imagined possible.  This is the first step to ensuring that every student has the learning tools they need to achieve their full potential.
